The message I attained from listening to Shihan's poem is that words, language, literature, and everything else that is associated with it is extremely important but underestimated. Words is an expressive tool that can teach one about themselves as well as the world. However, Shihan suggests that in recent times, words are not important to individuals which can be seen in the current generations lack of using of REAL words. Shihan uses erratic, scattered, and swift diction to let allow his message to flow freely from his soul making his piece genuine and true to the self; Thus, Shihan's poem combined with his visual and auditory presentation creates a strong, genuine, emotional poem.
