Listening to Taylor Mail's poem was more powerful than just reading it because he accentuate the important phrases in words perfectly. Taylor Mali humorously suggests that our current generation lack the skills to effectively articulate what they mean. Our generation have difficulty translating their thoughts into words because may individuals in our society find it more important to be "cool and hip" rather than aggressively intelligent. Thus, in order to fulfill our desire to become popular, individuals have filled their verbal content with "invisible questions" to give the illusion they do not know what they are talking about. Thus, illustrating the importance of words and spoken language which can be seen on his scrabble T-shirt.
