Summer Breeze & Lemonade
Emily Dickinson poem "Tell all Truth but Tell it Slant" is compared to a cool summer breeze and sipping on lemonade in the shade because it its fresh and refreshing atmostphere. Although, her tone is assertive and demanding , her poem excute serenity largely due to the tone, imagery, and alliteration (which I didn't notice until it was read several time aloud in class). Also, the underlying message of the poem is straightforward and fairly easy to comprehend which from my experience wasn't common method used in that time period.
